I have an alignment with spiral-curve-spiral transitions. I started with labeling the spirals and curves with their geometric information in a label pointing to each segment. Then the engineer decided he wanted a curve table instead. I think I managed to set that up. My labels disappeared and I put tags on the curves. Now we want to swtich back. I don't know how to do make it work so that when I pick a curve, I get a label, instead of another tag. Please help!

You may have to label the geometry twice, once with an Alignment Label/ Then with a Generla Line Segment Label
Or Copy the alignment and place Tag Labels on one, and Normal Labels on the Copy.

Also, what I just tried could work for you...
Before you ade the Label Tag to the Table
Copy the contents of the Label;
<[Tangent Direction(Udeg|FDMSdSp|P6|RN|DSn|CU|OF|AP|MB)]>
<[Length(Um|P3|RN|AP|GC|UN|Sn|OF)]>
Then Add the Tag to the Table
Then Edit the Label Text; L1
and Insert the value you just copied....

I did find the problem. It was the switch in the style editor.

The default display mode (Label/Tag) on the General Tab of the Style editor,right?
Just filling in the details should others have this issue.
