I have a realively large model of the office building. When I switch to Realistic graphics style in 3D view, it takes about 10 minutes for Revit to switch the style. It happens only when switching to Realistic, everything else is pretty fast. All other models work fine.
Does anybody have any clue what the problem might be?
Thank you.

Realistic is a very heavy view type. Its not fast unless you have a very good graphics set up. Once it comes up, it should be faster. but will always take a long time to come up the first time.

Thanks sbrown.
I just found the reason: decals.
I had about 7 decals in the model applied to the walls and signage. As soon as I got rid of them the model started to fly in Realistic. So beware of the decals, they really bog the model down in Realistic view style.
