losing my view

Sometimes, little things add up to big irritation.........

I have a site that is hundreds of acres. We are working on site selection. We plan to place a large building somehere on this site. This means I am constantly zooming to extents to get the big site picture then zooming in on a prospective building location. I have a view for the likely building site, zoomed in to a reasonable size. Trouble is, every time I close and reopen the view, it comes back zoomed extents instead of the closeup it should be. I would like the view to "stick".

What am I doing wrong??????? :banghead:

You should use the Crop View property to limit your building location view to the area you are studying.
I think plan views always open as "zoom extents" unless you already have another plan view at the same scale already open.
