So I'm working in 2013, and I can't find my edit wall profile button under Modify| Wall. I got to the online help file and it tells me it should be under a panel call Mode. I have searched the rest of my tabs and panels to come up short (nothing new there). Is this panel in witness protection or is it just playing a mean game of hide and seek? How can I turn it back on?

Can anyone help me find this? I need to modify a interior curtain wall and cut it into another wall.

Thank you in advance,
Jeff S.85611

To quote from a great British SitCom 'The IT Crowd' Roy: Hello, IT. Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I can't believe that worked...

Apparently, Revit was a little confused this morning when I fired up my workstation.

Cheers,
Jeff S.

Nope, I can now edit the profile, but I'm unable to finish the command. I'm going to ask for Revit to be reinstalled, correctly this time.

Good luck with that.
I think you'd have better luck doing it yourself.

This sounds to an older (well, 2012, anyway) problem where the "Finish Group" panel would disappear.
I think we have the Ribbon to thank for this.
Don't know if this would help with the Edit Wall Profile or not - and it's definitely a work-around, not a fix - but if you get stuck, one thing that often would bring it back was to toggle the Recent Files from the View...User Interface menu.
Don't ask me who figured that out - or how!
One more thing. Make Keyboard Shortcuts for all of the "Finish..." things so you can always type FG (or XX or something) if the Panel is not visible.

Rick was correct, and that it was a .net 4.5 issue. I downloaded Microsoft Visual Basic 11 Beta the other day to start learning the API. It came with 4.5, now i'll have to see if VB still works.

Thanks again Rick,

Jeff S.
