How do you investigate height limits on your site? It has become the convention in my office to duplicate the topography surface offset it to the correct height. this however poses a lot of problems later in the project when working with pads, cutting sections, stetting up views correctly. Is there a better way to indicate these datums? I suppose i could export a surface and then import it back into the project? if anybody does this, what is the best format to use? Or if anybody has another creative alternative, i'd like to hear about it. thanks in advance. - CSDG

What we need is a way to duplicate and cut out a piece of toposurface, and then convert it to a massing object.
 yeah, like that'll ever happen.

You could split your topo, export to cad, import cad into mass family.

ACA had a very nice tool for that exact need.
Maybe someday we'll get all the great tools and ideas that ACA.
But right now I'd settle for a text editor and the ability to disallow beam joins.
