trying to render shots around the building showing accurate shadow for the summer solstice in nashville. i've set all the settings in the rendering dialog box and they render accurately when i use the local render engine. i'm trying to get the same result from the render cloud. from what i can tell you have no choice but to use the 'advanced' exposure setting on the original upload so if you want to use your lighting settings you have to render that exposure first and then re-render with 'native' exposure. (this should go over well when autodesk starts keeping track of cloud units.) what is happening though is that 'native' seems to be recognizing the lighting settings but not true north vs. plan north.

anyone else found this issue or know of how to tell the render cloud to use true north for the shadow settings? This is in revit 2012 btw.

I would try 2013 as a test to see if they made any improvements.
There was another thread that mentioned the cloud uses different settings than your local and also a different engine.
Hence, you're going to get different results.
