Keynoting batt insulation

Hopefully I'm missing something simple here, but I'm having trouble adding a keynote for batt insulation. I've usually shown the batt with Revit's standard "batt insulation" tool, but when I try to place a keynote on it I can not select the insulation. I don't see a parameter in the properties of the batt itself, so I'm wondering if it's even possible.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

Batt Insulation is just smart detail lines. There is not a way to associate it with a keynote. Someone please correct me if I'm incorrect.
