I cannot embed itmes into model space. I can only get a linked icon. I do not paste the item as a link, but that is the way it is inserted. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I am trying to insert a pdf file.
Thanks

Hi hydestone2002
Please note I've *moved* this thread from the New User Forum to this one as I believe it would be better served here.

I could be wrong, but I don't think you can insert a PDF into a drawing. You have to convert it.
Check out this thread.

Is OLEHIDE set to something other than 0?

I just tried selecting the image in Adobe, copying it, and pasting it into model space and it did not appear even though I saw _pasteclip on the command line. I checked and olehide is set to 0.

Hi
Within Adobe try using the "Snapshot Tool" to copy the PDF contents to the Windows Clipboard, then Paste into an AutoCAD drawing file.
Have a good one, Mike

ToolPac (http://www.dotsoft.com/toolpac.htm) includes a routine to insert a PDF into a DWG file.
There is also a standalone tool available to convert a PDF to a DXF in case you are running LT. http://www.dotsoft.com/pdfconvert.htm
