View Full Version : 2012 Filters used to hide objects are not transfered

I hope someone can prove me wrong but I've just experienced yet another issue with filters in Revit 2012. If you make a new filter, associated with a View Template in a standards project and change nothing more than removing the checkmark (making the object invisible) when you try to use Transfer Project Standards on Filters and View Templates - it will not come over. You have to change some other setting for that filter in the View Template before it will come over with this tool (eg make it visable _and_ change the color). This kind of defeats the purpose of being ablt to transfer these standards between files if I have have to make it wrong for it to transfer and then manually correct it in each project...

Can others confirm this?

(The other issue that I'm annoyed about it Revit randomly renaming my filters when I synchronize: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Revit-MEP/Revit-Filters-are-being-renamed-randomly/td-p/2793566)

Where does Autodesk publish a list of known issues?

Has anyone seen this in 2013?
Just had it happen to me in 12. Also the bit where it adds a 1 to your filter name.

ADSK support have confirmed this problem in both 2012 and 2013. Sorry for the bad news. It doesn't seem like the Transfer Project Standard tool is a high priority for them - the renaming thing you mention dates back to 2006!
