Door won't insert into wall!

I have a wall for which I've created a cut profile. It spans 21 floors. There are currently 20 doors in it on the first 20 levels. I want to place a door on the 21st level. It won't let me. In fact, it won't let me place any more doors in it, no matter what level. It doesn't matter what door type I use. When I edit the profile, it won't let me finish the sketch by saying invalid sketch. And it won't let me reset the profile either! Is it corrupt? Is there something I'm missing?

UPDATE: I split the 21st level of the wall off so there is a wall from 1-21 and one from 21-22. Everything seems to work after that. What's the deal?

Are there any warnings associated with the wall?

My initial thought was that either the wall or the profile sketch (or both) were pinned, but I tested it and didn't have any problem adding doors. Maybe something haywire with a workset?

No warnings until I try to edit the sketch and no matter what I do it won't let me finish the sketch.

What do you think would make the workset haywire?

Any worksets not editable, or not loaded?

I wonder if the wall is interfacing with some other element that is breaking it. Try to copy it off to the side, away from the building and see if you can edit it there, and then move it back?
