I would like to schedule "areas" and "property lines" elements (in the same area plan view) on the same schedule and perform calcs referencing both in the same formula. I have set up a project parameter which has been applied to both area and property lines elements - and show (with my entered values) in the properties pallete when selected.

But after I create a multi-category schedule, and select the project parameter common to both areas and property lines, nothing shows in the resulting schedule. Area data, which they both have, is not an available field either. Phasing is set for Existing and to Show All. The "areas" are tagged.

I do not think I understand how Revit intends a multi-category schedule.
I'm probably doing multiple things incorrectly...
so I'd appreciate some guidance.

Thanks.

Hi Stewart,

I'm sorry to say, that I don't think 'Areas' will show up in a multi-category schedules. Also I'm not sure I've ever seen a line show up in a schedule. I could totally be wrong here, so if someone else has a different experience, please share.

Cheers,
Jeff S.

The trick for multi category is to create a y/n paramater called "appears in schedules", then filter by that param.
