I'm curious what multi-discipline model naming convention and directory structure people use for their projects. Thanks.

Coming from the perspective of the Architectural firm:
We purposefully keep things very simple. All of our central models are saved in the root directory of the project folder. Everything else is sub-categorized. Typically we only have 3 subfolders:
1. Reference Files, which we break up by discipline (arch, civil, elec, mech, struct, etc.)
2. Families, which is for specific families for this project, not the main library.
3. Archive
We are usually pretty lax on model naming conventions both for us and for our engineers, as long as they DON'T CHANGE over the life of the project.
