View Full Version : Set up columns from grid without intersecting any walls or floors

Hello Augi members,

I have to make a reproduction of Maison Clarke Arundell in Revit.
The building has a lot of concrete columns (being a building designed by Corbusier).
When I started modelling, the first thing I did was setting up a grid and on that grid, concrete columns which go up to the roof.
However now that the model is ''finished'' the colomns go through (intersect with) walls and floors.
At first this wasn't a problem but now my teacher wants me to delete every section of the column which is in a wall or floor.
Is there anyway to this? Or do I just have to delete all the columns and add all of them one by one, elevation per elevation.
i'm kind of dreading the latter option, since it's will be a lot of work, for me anyway (checking elevations, hiding unhiding, etc. etc.).
So i'm hoping someone knows an easier way out, or maybe has an efficient strategy for me to tackle this.

Daniël

I've uploaded my revit model in case you want to take a look (it exceed the maximum size so i've used a external upload service, dont know whether this is allowed or not).
