Can't Dash or Hidden Linetypes

I am at a total loss. All of a sudden I can't make lines dash or go hidden. I'm working in model space. No matter what LTSCALE or CELTSCALE I use they just will not show dashed. They are loaded. I REGEN and REDRAW and I look on paper space... still not dashed or hidden.

I even copied a known hidden line from another drawing and IT shows solid.

This is the first time I've used this forum so I may not be doing things exactly right but I sure would appreciate someone helping me. Deadline is looming and I'm not doing real well.

Did you try it the opposite way? i mean that u paste ur original file into another one that shows linetypes correctly. use matchprop to match pasted one with the new one

To those who responded with suggestions, my thanks. I closed everything and did what has always seemed to me to be the smartest way to fix most problems. I shutdown and rebooted. By some magic, everything worked fine. I still don't know what happened but something went haywire and rebooting fixed it. So..... until it happens again, thanks again for your responses.
