I noticed this morning there is a new build for download? Can't seem to find the usual thread explaining the various fixes... Am i missing it or hasn't there been one yet?

No, there has not, as yet, been an explanation from the factory on where this build differs from previous.

It would be much appreciated.

Can you fill me in on what this "Build" actually is?....I've seen it referred to often ...is it an add-on package you have to purchase?

Ah!!....so it's short for "latest build of REVIT" or something like that?...OK....NOW several things become clearer!

Each build, should in theory , be different from previous versions. Presumably new builds are issued to fix problems or to utilize new features.

To check which build you are using. go to Help > About Revit. The builds are date stamped, so 20050126_2030 was created at 2030 on 26th January 2005.

I hope it fixed levels and grids.

I just installed it.

The first thing I've noticed is that views can be rotated 90° again.

Thank you Factory!

This build has fixed a very serious level and grid problem we were having on one project upgraded from 6.1. I don't know how this will affect the other level and grid problems that people have been having, but I wouldn't be surprised if they have been fixed.

If it just does those two things... I'm very happy...

Cathy,

I apologize for my exuberance.

After installing the new build, I opened a project that had 6.1 rotated views. The view I picked as a test was a view that was rotated 90° in 6.1. When I selected the crop region & picked rotate, the view rotated as in 6.1, and thus the announcement.

What I did not realize, and found this morning, was that I had rotated the view back to it's orginal state, and once there, it would not rotate again.

Maybe in the next build, we'll get it back. I really miss that feature!
