Extruding Roof Profile

Hello, I'm trying to model a curved roof with a custom-shaped profile. My instructor showed me how to "model in place", but I can't remember if he did it under the Massing/Site tab (as I have tried) or if he used the Home tab. I remember he drew the closed-loop profile and extruded it. However when I do this under the Massing/Site tab I'm unable to convert the mass to an actual solid object. Please help! Thanks.

Most likely, Home tab (or Architecture tab) > Component > Model In-place > ... ... Extrusion

Thanks. Right after I posted this I saw the "Model in Place" under Component and, indeed, that was how my instructor showed me. Yay!
