My firm currently has a gyp hatch on all of their interior elevations. When there is an accent wall they show a gyp. hatch WITH a gray shading. I'm trying to figure out a way to do this in Revit and I'm having a hard time without using a transparent filled region. I'm afraid of having to trace around any wall mounted equipment. I've tried a thin face based family shaded gray with a filled region detail component on top of it but that didn't work. Any ideas?

Why not split surface, and paint with a material that has a solid gray for surface pattern?

Make a different Material. But I would not recommend Split-Face/Paint method. Use a Stacked Wall, or try using Parts, then Divide, apply the other Material.

Her problem is making a hatch with solid and dot pattern.

Use a Shaded view?
Upper Material is "white" with gyp. surface pattern.
Lower Material is "grey" material with gyp surface pattern.
Just a thought.

Oh, that's something else... Sorry, I misunderstood that part.
