Hi,

I have set up a schedule in order to determine the tonnage of steel for various elements. (Columns, beams etc.)

I also introduced a 'shared parameter' in order to filter only the elements that have the 'CR-schedule-material' parameter set to 'steel'.

All seems fine apart from a few families which dont appear in the schedule, even if I switch off the filter.

I have attached the model file (Revit 2013) and highlighted the once that dont come up

Is there a trick Im missing here?

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Stephan

Revit has limitations in regards to listing elements such as joist or trusses in Material take-off schedules, even if those elements are classified as structural framing. They simply don't show up in any single or multiple material take-off schedule. The only way you can catch them all is with a Multi-category schedule, or with a Structural framing schedule. But, a multi-category schedule won't let you use the Volume parameter. Therefore, the best choice in this case is to do separate normal schedules (not material take-offs); one for Structural framing, and another one for Structural columns, which can include the Volume parameter, along with your shared parameters.

Hi Alfredo,

Thanks for this.

I've just checked it and as you said it works if separated into various schedules.

Such a same it doesnt come up in one schedule!

Cheers,

Stephan

Stephan,
It doesn't matter what you are schedule or how you've created it.
In 2013 if you have a linked model and you want to include elements from that linked model, you can't filter it by a shared parameter or your model will crash.
