I removed Revit 2010 from my computer 2 weeks after upgrading a large central file to Revit 2012. Removing Revit 2010 dis-associated the .rvt file extension from the software - which I didn't notice until after opening and trying to STC my Revit 2012 local file (which I have been using successfully for 2 weeks).

After associating the .rvt extension back to Revit, I still cannot STC.

I cannot open the central file and Save As a new central file because I cannot save ANY WORKSHARE ENABLED files to the any of our servers.

I opened and detached the file and discarded the worksets, and that file saved to the server.

I enabled the worksets on that file (after audit and purge) and cannot save the file to the server.

I get one of these errors/messages: fatal error, failed to save document, access to eperms.dat denied and access to deltas.dat denied.

I can save the workshare enabled files to my C:drive.

Also - even when I was working in Revit 2010 this was a problem, but it was intermittent and I could go to another users computer and have better luck. During the 2 weeks I was working in Revit 2012, the problem was about the same as while working in 2010. I was able to upgrade the central file to 2012 by using another users computer as it would not save to the server on mine. Now the file will not save on either computer.

Anyone have this issue? Know an answer? We have our IT guys working on it, and they haven't come up with a solution after trying lots of things.

thanks,

Please clarify the scenario. Are you using Revit Server? If so, what is the error message when you "cannot save the file to the server." Is the Revit Server icon available in the File Save-as dialog box?

If this is not a Revit Server project, and you are not able to create a new Central model on a network drive, then you might have to resort to the original Revit 2010 model, before you upgraded.
