Hello again all-

I am working on a series of area schedules which are tied to number of area plans. On a given plan the same 'Area Name' applies to several discontinuous objects. For example, there are several areas called 'Bathroom and Pantry'.

In the schedule each of these areas appear as their own line. I don't need this and it would be far cleaner to combine all lines labeled with the same name. I've searched the forums and gone through some of the Autodesk wiki but no luck.

I'm sure it's a simple setting, I just don't know where it is. :(

A little help?

Running Revit 2012.
Schedule image attached showing multiple lines with items of the same name (I would prefer these appear as one line with the values combined)

Thanks!86447

It is a simple setting and it can be found here;)
Make sure the Itemize Every Instance box is unchecked in the Sorting and Grouping tab of the schedule properties. (Also check the formatting tab to make sure your areas are set to provide totals)

Hi Dimitri, thanks for the reply & screenshot!

I'll give it a try first thing in the morning...

jpyeatt, be aware that once you turn off "Itemize Every Instance", you must set a Sorting field (in your case 'Area Name') or your schedule will not show anything.
