Revit Structure 2013 - Structural views disable Masking regions, and detail items

I have noticed that in Revit 2013 when the discipline of a view is set to structural it makes all masking regions and detail items transparent even though the visual style is set to Hidden line. The only way to get a detail item or masking region to work is to change the discipline to coordination however any hidden elements like columns within walls or walls behind walls are then not shown. This has not been the case for the last five years of Revit. Does anyone have a solution?

We have installed the 'update 1' for Revit structure 2013 and that solved the problem.
