Hello!
Does anyone know if there is any way to exclude individual elements (not a whole category) from an IFC Export? For example I have one room which I would not like to export, but can't find a way to exclude it.

Haven't tried it, but click on the object, right click, hide in view, element? Then export. Does that work?

Not really because rooms are not visible in the 3D view I'm trying to export from and thus can't be hidden in this way. I even tried using view filters, but it doesn't work either because to get rooms in the IFC file, I can't use the "Current View only"-option in IFC exports.
I tried phasing but for some reason spaces from past phases get exported as well. Also design options can't be used because rooms cannot be placed inside options.

there is an IFC export options section where you can specify which elements you would like to export. I haven't had very good luck using it though. I'm working on a project where we are using an IFC file to fabricate timber walls and floors. unfortunately, there is no way to exclude finish layers from the export, so our fabricator decided to re-model our building in their own software.

Yeah, that's another problem I've been struggling with. For one it allows mappping of IFC-export types only per Revit category so it is not much use here as I want to exclude individual rooms from the export.
Also some of the IFC Classes just don't work. I can't for example export Mass as IfcSpace, it gets exported as IFcBuildingElementProxy, but if I type in IfcSlab, it gets exported corrrectly as an IfcSlab. Pretty confusing! :)
