I have a somewhat complex roof that I am trying to frame with trusses. What is the fastest way to achieve this? I have downloaded and installed the new roof framing extension from autodesk but it will not work with my roof since it has more then one ridge.

Can you post an image? Hard to tell with just a description.

But you can use parametric truss families to "flex" according to span, slope, height, etc. and do it with most roof massing.

I work more on the commercial side, so please forgive me if this is a simple question. How the heck can you even build that with trusses? If you cut a building section there will only be 3 locations where your roof line won't have jogs in it due to the slope changes. In fact, there are two spots where there will be SIX changes along a single truss. It seems like this should be custom framed with a rafter-and-beam system instead of prefab trusses. Am I off base here?
