I have an in-place sweep that is used for a perimeter drain around an "H" shaped building. It was a last resort as a regular family would have been a lot to adjust. I assigned it a sub-category of utilites under site category. In object styles, I set the line pattern to dash. In the Parent plan for the dependent sector plans, it shows as solid. I then set the utilies project line to be dash in visibility graphics - still a solid line. Override graphics in view by element finally changed it to a dash. BUT it still shows up as solid in all the dependent sectors. Whats up with that?!! Ive pulled the few remaining hairs out of my head over this. I figure that an in-place family is a reason for it not working - hence the reason why you shouldnt use them. But shouldnt the dependent views show what you see in the parent view after I applid the override? It is the purpose of using them after all! Anyone experience this? Ideas, comments, thoughts are all appreciated. Thanks.
