_ObjectScale No Longer Works in File

I was working along this morning, and went to 'add/delete scales.....' on a text object only to discover that this no longer works in my file. Now it is only in this file, this command works on other files on my computer. I believe it started after I ran a recovery on the dwg. I have also audited the file and purged. And I get the attached error when I close autocad?
Has this happened to anyone before? I am open to any suggestions.
