View Full Version : 2013 Table Cell Contents Printing Faded

I have a table in a drawing. The cell contents are color 130(0,255,255). When I print using the Monochrome.ctb the cell contents are faded as if plot transparency is set to on. It is not.
If I change the color of the contents to white, it comes out fine. I'm sure that you might think: "then just change the contents to white". Unfortunately these are AutoCAD Plant 3D iso's that are automatically generated and we have about 80 at this point so that would be very time consuming. By the end of the project we will have upwards of 500. I double checked the monochrome ctb and color 130 is set to black with no screening just like all of the other colors.
Any suggestions?

can you post a sample table that shows the issue?

Monochrome.CTB only works on the ACI colours (i.e. 1 to 255). What you've got there is RGB colours (i.e Red,Green,Blue) - these always print in colour no matter what your CTB is set to. Thus with a black/white printer the colour comes out grey.

But isn't color 130 an ACI color? It IS in the monochrome ctb. Unless I am misunderstanding you.

Yes it is! But what you have in that drawing is colour RGB: 0,255,255.

E.g. see my mod - I've changed the right-hand column to use color 130 (using the Index Color tab in the Select Color dialog, not the True Color tab).

OK. I see what your saying. So there must be an option in PLANT 3D to change the table style for the BOM tables it generates. If not, this is a real pain. But thanks much for your input.

Perhaps, but I've never used Plant 3D. Someone else may be able to help.

Hi there,

I'm moving this thread from the AutoCAD forum to the new Plant 3D forum, as I believe it will be better served here. Thanks.
