Another new situation that I am going to have to deal with soon, is emailing my Drawings to a UPS store for them to plot and copy. (our copy machine is broke). What is the best way to ensure that they plot my drawing the EXACT way that I would plot it here. Text styles, line weights etc etc. Is pack and go still a means to do that or is there something new?

I don't think I can do that. I run an add-on program that will not allow me to enable multiple drawings via changing the SDI. When I try to "publish" I get an error that says I must enable SDI. The application that I am running on top of ACAD will not allow me to do that. Does anyone have any ideas or work arounds?

Hi

Is pack and go still a means to do that or is there something new?Take a look at the ETransmit command.

When I try to "publish" I get an error that says I must enable SDI.Use the Plot command instead to create your PLT files or take a look at creating DWF files.

A Search (http://forums.augi.com/search.php?) within the Forums will turn-up a lot of useful information on PLT & DWF files.

Have a good one, Mike

What software do they have available there? Do they maybe accept PDF files? I only suggest that because with PLT files, you need to make sure your printer driver is compatible with theirs (or vice versa). Otherwise, the preview you see when looking at your PLT file in-house may still not be what comes out on their end.

Plot to DWF or PDF. They should be able to handle those files. If you choose DWF, make sure to NOT enable layers.
