Just wondering,

Will there be interoperability issues between Revit Software of the same version, but one with the latest service packs installed, and one without?

ie.:

Can a project saved using Revit Architecture 2012 with service pack 2 be opened in another computer with Revit Architecture 2012, but without service pack 2

Service packs are backwards compatible.

If you run into any issues with the file, the first step Autodesk Support is going to give you is "make sure all machines working on that file are on the same build".

In a workshared project, all users MUST use the same build/service pack, or problems will arise.
