As said in the title, I frequently have a problem with table data changing on its own. This seems to only happen in cells that have been formatted as fractional numbers followed by double quotes. This had led to some MAJOR mistakes in the shop, but if I have to enter all piece lengths as text it's going to be a huge PITA. Anyone have any advice? For reference, I've also had problems with the same cells losing their formatting (switching to decimal with a dozen or so trailing zeros), but at least that doesn't result in wasted production.
For reference, I've enclosed a file that (for me) can reproduce the bug using the following procedure:
1) Start editing text in a cell (any cell)
2) Start moving through the table data & cells using the "right arrow" key
3) Go past a cell with numerical data and watch it change on its own!
Sometimes, making changes to various formatting options that "don't matter," such as the exact precision, or locking of formatting, will "fix" things... but it never seems to stick. I'm at a loss; and what's worse, I'm not allowed a copy of Excel, so I can't do everything in a spreadsheet and just bring it in when done (unless anyone knows a way to do this easily from OpenOffice / LibreOffice without the horrendous fun that is OLE).
