i have noticed over the years that on occasion that Autocad when you save will sometimes not save the last little bit of work done in the drawing.
example. last week i was laying some receptacles out in a hospital recovery unit, about the last 10 min of work where not saved, yet before i plotted the drawing i saved it. the BAK file is one minute before the plot all work is there, the autosave file is 2 min before the BAK and missing two receptacles.
This problem has been a round since Version 2.6 (1997), it seems to occurr about 1 once a year, anyone have any ideals.

Same, I have NEVER had a problem like this before with the current CAD version (have been on subscription for 6 years now at work).

Once a year is not a program issue, whether it's been happening for decades or not, more likely an external influence or user input/missed observation: by chance when this happens, was there something unusual when you closed the file? Did you QSAVE and CLOSE the file after plotting, or did you do something else after plotting (like an unnoticed UNDO function kick-in)?

I always save before ploting, but considering how much we have customized Aitocad where i work at. there could be something in the programing that could be causing this error to occur. i have started going thru the code to see if there are any conflcts.

I have seen this, but it always skips by so there is no chance for accurate documentation of the problem. Given that it happens so infrequently (several person-years interval at most) I don't consider it a serious issue.

We used to see this years ago on Novell OS (sp?) servers from time to time, I haven't experienced it in 15 years since working strictly on Windows server OS.

Well i see what happens in the near future as we are about to get new servers and new software for the new servers over the next couple of weeks. i have gone back to doing 2 saves before plotting or closing down a drawing, just to make sure i do not lose any work.

Could it be your ISAVEPERCENT setting? Try setting it to 0.
