I have brought in an architects model from Rhino into a mass family and loaded into my project. The building is slanted and twisted and piramid shaped. I want to take the projected view and make a view that looks at it not projected but straight up and down (and as flattened as I can get it). Got that accomplished I think. Then I want to take that view and cut a section (detail view) through it to create a plan. See atatchment. When I did it revit rotated the plan view 180d and cut it from the top of the building, behind the peak rather than in front of it, so not at all where I cut it. Any idea how i can adjust the detail cut plane, or whatever, and make it work for me? Is it because it isn't a native revit object? I did put a flat mass face based on it to help but didn't seem to ake a difference.

Thanks for your help!

If the pyramid had been created in Revit, your sections would report the correct graphics. Objects imported from other applications might not behave the same.
