Crop View is grayed out?

I'm creating some Level views in Revit Structure 874102013 and I'm finding that the Crop View checkbox under the Extents Properties is grayed out, and I am unable to resize the crop region over my model. Can anyone help me? Screenshot included for reference.

It's acting like a scope box has been set in the Extents but I don't see a scope box name in the paramter field. Was there a scope box applied to the view? If so, try setting scope box to "none"

That was it! I had deleted it, because someone had named the Scope Box with the name of the project (which i didn't want to show in the screenshot) I had never heard of scope boxes before, so I wasn't expecting that. thanks
