toolbar size with lcd screen

my colleague has just had his old monitor replaced with an LCD screen. We are running autocad lt 2002 and are using windows xp. He now has the problem that his toolbars in autocad are too small for him to use. Previously I have been able to resolve this by changing the screen resolution but am unable to do this with new screen without screen appearing fuzzy. It is set up with a res. of 1280x1024 colour-highest 32 bit. Any ideas???? I know its not a directly related drafting problem as such but it is resulting in a user problem in this programme. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

PullDownMenu: Tools -> Customize -> Toolbars

Customize Dialog Box -> Toolbars tab -> "Large Button" tick box (bottom right hand-side).
