I am teaching beginning AutoCAD at a college and some students have 2013 version. I need to have them set their Options Saveas to always save the file as 2010 file format. Can somebody tell me where this is at. I have three students and none of them can find it. Thanks for the help.

Options dialogue box, second or third tab along if I remember. There is a drop own list, to select which version to save as.

Thank you for the reply. You are describing the Windows Option. The Mac Option is an entirely different dialog box. Choices are in a left hand column and actions on the right side of the dialog box. There is nothing that any of us could find about how to set it to saveas 2010 or 2007 file format.

since Adesk never released a 2010 Mac version, I would not be suprised to fid that saving back was one of the things they skipped on the Mac flavors. Along with a lot of other stuff....

There is an option listed here to set an environmental variable to change the default.

(setenv "DefaultFormatForSave" "48")
Sorry, I don't have AutoCAD for the Mac to test this, does it work for you?
