What would be the easiest way to change color schemes on all surfaces of a building to show several different options to a client? I imagine it gets more complicated if you wanted multiple colors to represent accents, etc. I'd like to either be able to switch back and forth during a demo with a laptop or at least have several options up on screen at the same time to compare.

I know I can apply finishes to individual surfaces using "paint" but I'd like to change entire schemes. If I have to change types of wall, roof, windows, etc. that still seems too time consuming. Thanks for any suggestions!

The method I've used in the past is to define several wall styles, each with a different exterior finish material (color) and then just use the project browser to select all instances of the exterior wall style and do a quick change in properties. Using shaded views you get the colors applied quickly. If you only require two choices you can easily toggle between the two using undo/redo.

Back on the OP subject, I would recommend Design Options.

You could "paint" on different colors/materials in the Design Options,
and then display them separately in different views.

But--as soon as the client selects and approves the color scheme,
then delete the other Design Options, as these can be a major headache
later in say the DD phase.
