Hi every one, I was doing this roof in the project shown in the attached image and Revit could not do it in one command, I had to separate the roof in several parts and join them later. Is there a limitation in the number of edges to make a roof or is it to difficult to do it in one command?
Thanks in advance, Alex

The main body of the roof can be done in one single sketch. The little attachments shown in your image should be done separately, of course. I don't think there is a limit for the number of edges. When it fails, it is because the sketch is not correct, and most likely, it would not work with pencil and paper either. For complicated roofs, it would be a good idea to draw the floor plan in 2D first, to see if the geometry of the plan and elevations is correct. Once that geometry is working, the roof tool should be able to do it. If things get more complex, the next level of solution is points, planes, and surfaces. But this one can be done, as shown here, with the Roof by footprint tool in one sketch.

Just be sure to check the heights of where the roofs connect to the building. I've found its sometimes better to separate the roof out in parts. Its possible that a contractor would want it that way. Also it seems like there is always one or two roof edges that just don't work out. Does anyone know of a Revit add-in that does a better job of completing roofs?

Thanks Alfredo, but I tried to make the roof again and always the same issue. I am posting a plan view with dimension to see if you can reproduce the roof.
Thanks in advance, Alex
