Has anyone found a good way to organize a project where one does the shell of a building to completion and then afterwards does the Lease Hold drawings for the individual suites. These drawings have their own floor and ceiling plans, hvac, plumbing, lighting, electrical, etc. For all practical purposes the number of suites could very from two to twenty. I also need to keep a cumulative and update drawings of the total project (including Lease Hold developments). Any shared ideas would be appreciated.

I forgot to mention that I have no problem seperating the documentation by using a seperate phrase for each leasee - the real problem begins with how you number the pages without getting to a very complex numbering system.

you could link the shell model into a new file and document there... no problems with duplicate sheet numbers, view names, etc.

That sounds like a pretty good solution.

Thanks

I asked a similar question awhile back: http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?140633-Shell-buildings-with-multiple-%28constantly-changing%29-tenant-fitouts-strategy

I'm currently on my 4th tenant fitout in this same set of shell buildings. The shell has its own Revit file in one location under a certain project number. Current and future tenant fitouts will all have their own project number and Revit file, but that shell file will be linked in to work from.

The only issues I've had have been when things need to be hosted to the exterior or corridor shell walls (I just place an overlapping wall, set to existing, in the tenant fitout model), or when a corridor door needs to move or get added or removed. In that case I have to go into the shell file and place the door and make sure it's numbered how I want it, fill in all the fields for the door schedule, etc.

But other than those things it's all worked out pretty well.
