I have a couple questions about Revit workflow and best practices.

First, what is the best way to show the lighting fixtures of a linked MPE model on the architectural reflected ceiling plans? Right now we are editing the boundary of the ceiling to cut a hole and show the lights. I don't think this is the best way.

Second, when I am trying to align my grid with the 2x4 lights of the MPE model, why would Revit only let me align to their lights when my reflected ceiling plan is set to wireframe? If change the view to hidden line, I can no longer align to the edge of the lights, even though I can still see them. Ceiling elevation is 9'-0" and the lights are the same since they are hosted to my ceilings but 'live' in the MPE model. Any thoughts?

You should not need to edit your ceiling boundaries. If everything is modeled correctly the fixtures will show up fine. Not sure about your second question, it works fine for me. Maybe try tabbing thru your selection...or it could be that your ceiling has been pinned? If so it won't move.
