Pipe xing of pressure pipeline

I created pipe network (sewer), then pressure pipe network (water). Water was changed to follow surface. The sewer pipe crossing showws on water profile - but the water pipe will not show on sewer profile. A jagged line will show for water line. I finally replace a piece of the water line with another pipe not changed to follow surface - is this the only way to make this work?
