In microstation we had a tool, section viewer, where in one view you can see the plan view (1) and in one the section view (2). You could jump from section to section in view 2 and your cursor would follow it on plan view in view 1, and visa versa. And if you had the line tool activated in view 1 you could tentative snap (which I don't know how to do in CAD) on a point and the cursor would show up where that point is on your section in view 2 and if you accepted the tentative snap in view 2 it would draw a line. That made annotating or drawing features into your sections efficient and easy. Is there a way to do that in CAD.

You can get a similar behaviour with the command _VPORTS set up like this:

87758

It's not the same, but... http://novara.orangespace.pl/augi/smile.gif

Create your sections, or whatever element you , in your drawing, create a view of the area you want plotted, open your sheet drawing, import the view from the master drawing, place the view want into the sheet.
