I needed to make a LARGE DRAWING TEMPLATE.

Lucis29 suggested that I use a large template in a reply to my last Thread. Using AutoCad 2011, I made a drawing about 20 time a " D" size drawing template (72' X 48' landscape) and saved it as a template (dwt).
When I use Automatic drawing generator the layout view are Full Size and all views of assembly and parts are draw on top of each other. I automatically generated a assembly drawing of a beam using the new large drawing template. The beam still has all blocks on top of each other AND the large drawing template specified ended up being "A" size 8.5" X 11".

What needs to be done to make the template be the size I drew it at?.

Bill,
When you choose the template file, ASD takes only the active layout. So if you have 2 Layouts in the large template dwg, (let's say A and the xtra large one) and the A is active, when generating Automatic drawings, it will take the "A", no matter what you've choosed in the dialog box. That's a Bug.

You don't have to make also the height to be 20 times. Keep the D size and make it long as 20m....
My plotter only prints 10 mm after the last line, so it doesn't matter how long my Paper is in Paper Space.

Regards.
Lucian.
