View Full Version : Rebar Summary Table - Discrepancies

We've picked up an error with the weight summaries on ASD 2013.
Our tables are printed on A4 sheets in booklet form. This means that the tables are split. Especially when we do slab rebar.
The setup was as follows when we picked up the error.
Table 1 - Bars 1-20
Table 2 - Bars 21-40
If you create a summary table by picking each table you do not get the same values as when choosing the bar positions.
Has anyone else experienced this...?
How do we fix / prevent it

I think we've uncovered the source of the problem...
The slab in question is detailed with surface distributions. The one distribution contains high and low bar marks... In particular one zone consists of a bar mark 2 and 54.
Bar mark 2 & 52 appears in separate tables. If you create a summary table by selecting the bar table containing bars 1-20, only bars 1-20 are summarized.
If you create a summary table by placement 1-20 it seems as if bar mark 54 is included in the summary table as it is part of a surface distribution with bar mark 2.
This is a major flaw if you ask me

swmarais, did they fixed the section problem? Is it OK the reinforcemnt of slabs?

What section problem?
I've encountered a problem where the position of the bars in section jump on the section background.
We tend to provide as few sections on slabs as possible...
Actually we are thinking of suggesting / requesting some changes to the bar distributions.
I would like to see a function where you can draw a bar in elevation and then zone/distribute it directly.
The draw in section and create a distribution elsewhere works OK for beam stirrups, but for slabs it is a royal pain and the standard surface distributions are a bit limiting.
