Guys,

Need some help here. I have one drawing sheet with the following:

Option #1 View - Area Plan

Option #2 View - Area Plan

I want to add color fill to both options, Revit doesn't let you add this to the options themselves and makes you do it in Main model mode (Area plans), thats fine, BUT, when I add the color fill to option 2 , i still see the area boundry lines for option #1, when I try to add the boundry lines to option 2 inside the main model they overlap over option #1's boundry lines. Is there any way to lay out these area boundry lines to define the areas for each option so they are not conflicting with each option. Remember, Revit tells me a can't apply the area boundries lines inside each option, that would be perfect if i could.
Any help would be fantastic!

I found that I usually need to make duplicate plans for each option in order to display properly. But i agree, you should be able to do what you want. It just makes sense.

Also, if you try and use 2d lines they will not copy into an option. This really needs to be addressed. Everything should be able to be copied into a design phase. What a rude suprise after drawing for almost an hour an it wouldn't copy lines. Tragic!

Please review tutorial on Rooms and Area Plans with Design Options. There are a lot of things to take into account and understand when using those tools with Design Options.

Area Plans are not allowed to vary with Design Options (Room Plans are allowed to vary). Please duplicate Area Scheme and use plans for different Area Schemes for each combination of Design Options in different Design Option Sets.
