as a user of both autocad and inventor, i can state that the dimensioning in inventor is too limited to do all of the dimensioning that i encounter day to day. autocad dimensioning is much much more flexible.

Best of both worlds in 2016 the dim command defaults to radius dimensions for circles and arcs, linear dimensions for lines. Right-click options for switching between dimension types like radial and diameter are included.
