Attach walls to linked structural floors / roofs?

Is it possible to attach walls (architectural) to modeled elements (floors / roofs) in a linked structural model?

As far as I know, you cannot attach to elements in a Linked model. However, you can Copy/Monitor the Floors and Roofs from the Linked model and then attach walls to them.

Another method is to place a reference plane at the bottom of deck of the Linked model's floors and roofs, then attach the walls to the ref. plane.
If the floors/roofs in the linked model move, you will need to aligh the ref. plane to the new location.

Thanks so much. That is what I thought, but I wanted to be sure I had not overlooked something. Reference planes is our usual approach, but this particular structure has a lot of complex planes and heights, so it would be great/easy if we could attach to the structural model.
