Hello Autodesk,

I would like to thicken duct edges with a filter but not override the centreline. I can do this by adding thin insulation and filtering for insulation but what if I want to start adding insulation to my models?

That is all, thank you.

Couldn't you just define the Lineweight to the Ducts Category under V/G Overrides, and then just use the View Filter or System Graphic Override to apply a color-only override?

Our ductwork lineweight usually depends upon system except the centre line is always the same thickness. This is something left over from pen and paper days that I would like to bring back. If we have to evolve we already have.

Our drawings are always black and white so a colour would not work. I currently use different grey solid fills to define system which probably works better anyway. Can't we do both?

So, you aiming to differentiate the Duct Systems by lineweight, resulting in displaying Ducts and multiple different Lineweights within the samy View? If that's the case, then you're stuck, as I'm sure you are already aware since you posted this message here!

And from your second statement, is sounds as if you are going to use different shades of gray for each System, and plot Grayscale? That would work, as long as the View Filter / System Graphic Overrides don't bestow a Lineweight.

Here, we use Line Patterns to differentiate the Duct Systems. I imagine that the drawings can get quite unclear if it's by Linewight, especially if the drawings are plotted half-scale...
