Here is a tip:
It took a few tries, but I finally got Revit 2013 running on my new windows 8 laptop. It would not install until after I installed ACAD. Until I installed ACAD, it kept install failing that it could not find some shared file.
It seems to run just fine. But now I have a problem:
When I try to apply the 2 service packs, it fails and tells me that I've not got the correct revit version for the service packs. But I do have the right version.
Has anyone else had this problem and/or solved it?
By the way, very much like windows 8. Runs faster, and they finally cleared out all that eye candy junk that got dumped in with Vista (Aero!). In fact the design on all the new MS stuff is very simple and clean, kind of a relief after 20 years of GUI build-up.
