Hi, i´m a beginner in Revit so this question is probably stupid. But i have too start somewhere:)

I was watching a tutorial on how to make a cutrain wall, seemed easy enough.. In the tutorial he made a "Storefront" curtain wall, in my version (2013) i can´t find the storefront type. Only the one Curtain wall type.
This is how my curtain wall lookes like:8850588506

1. Why doesnt 2013 hade the "Storefront" type?
2. What is the seethough box behind MY curtain wall? Is it suppose to looke like that?
3. Why can´t i place them in a wall?

Thanks for your answers!

Which template did you start with? Different templates have different curtain walls in them.

I started with a Swedish-suitable template so i guess thats the problem.. But do you know why my Curtain walls look like they do?

The template probably doesn't contain a "Storefront". You can create one if you wish, it would simply be a normal curtain wall with different settings (horizontal / vertical grid spacing, panels, mullions).

I'm not sure what you mean by "seethrough box", that view is set to wireframe - change it to Hidden Line / Shaded / etc. Perhaps that's what you mean.

You can place them in a wall, though they don't always automatically cut the wall. If they don't do this automatically you need to do it manually using the Cut Geometry tool. It should be under the Modify ribbon tab, Geometry panel.

Ok i understand, thank you.

I will attach a picture that shows the "seethough box" - its in Shaded display.88514

I figured it out, thanks!

Could you state how you fixed it? So others with similar problems can search through this thread?

I'm guessing it was some model lines drawn in your panel family (or some such)?

Looks like there may have been a large offset or something specified on the glass panels, to make it look spaced out away from the storefront framing.

Our office template has a Storefront type with smaller mullions and center-set glazing. Then we also have a Curtain Wall type with deeper mullions and front-set glazing.
