Point File Import

When I try to import points from an access database using the civiI pulldown I recieve an error message saying (Error opening table cannot update, database read only). Can anyone tell me what Im doing wrong

Have you connected to the DB before you try to export the points to it? Do you have R-W access to the DB?

Do you have the all the Service packs? SP1 took care of this bug with most of files types.
