Alright, couldn't find anything current . . .can anyone help? I'd like to do an arched accent in the brick over these windows (and doors maybe). It's not the end of the world if I don't do it on the model, (I can put it on a detail and the clients can make it happen without it) but I'd really like to show it on the model. I can probably figure out how to do this, but I wanted to put this out here first in case I can save some time from trying all the wrong ways first! Anyone have experience with this and have any tips for how to do it effectively? I attached an image of my project and a couple of pictures that have something similar to what I'm wanting to do. Actually even if I did it straight . . .any tips?

If the doors/windows are to be arched, you would need to modify/build custom families.
If you are looking for part of the wall to pop out with a brick only feature that is arched, you could try 2 ways.
* Build a generic model that is wall hosted
* Build a small section of wall for the arch with its profile edited and embed it into the main wall.

I'd also advise using a wall based family. That's how I've done similar stuff previously.

Here is a tutorial Paul Aubin did for this exact thing.

Wow that is slick. Thanks for sharing that.

Now, how do you get that to host onto the face of a wall? When I try to place it, after I choose a wall face, it wants to place the thing horizontally, floating out away from the wall.
